Art Basel Miami Beach is an international contemporary art show and American sister event of Art Basel in Switzerland, recognized as the most important annual art show of its kind worldwide. The show will showcase art from more than 200 galleries from the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia. In addition to Art Basel itself, there will be many ancillary events at art facilities and other public venues around the community. Special features include sections for galleries presenting recent art ("Art Nova"), a program of video ("Art Video Lounge"), a selection of 15 small curated exhibitions in separate rooms of exhibitor booths ("Art Kabinett"), and the notorious "Art Positions," a group of younger dealers housed in shipping containers at the beach, where "Art Perform" also takes place.
Hours are 12pm - 8pm Thursday, December 4 through Saturday, December 6 and 12pm - 6pm Sunday, December 7.
