World Massage Festival
The 2007 World Massage Festival will take place Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21, 2007, from 8 am to 8 pm, at the Hadji Shriner Temple in Pensacola, Florida. The Festival is a job fair for those considering massage therapy as a profession, an educations and networking opportunity for therapists, and a showcase for the community at large to see various types of massage therapy. This year we are also offering an option of up to 16 Continuing Education Units for massage therapists. There will be a timeline and explanation of massage from 3000 BC to present. The first 50 general admissions each day will receive cards for free massages. The Massage Hall of Fame has been created to honor those having furthered the profession. This year the Hall of Fame is sponsored by Massage Warehouse, who will provide a massage table to be given away by drawing. The Keynote Speaker this year will be Brita Ostrom of the Esalen Institute. She will speak at 6:00 pm on Sunday, followed by the induction ceremony for the newest Hall of Famers. Visit http://www.worldmassagefestival.com for details about the Festival and the inductees into the Hall of Fame.
