1300 on Fillmore
Soulful American Cuisine prepared as interpreted by internationally recognized chef David Lawrence. Lawrence combines classic French cooking techniques with hints of southern flavors using fresh, California seasonal ingredients. His north-meets-south cuisine includes imaginative creations such as dungeness crab and corn cakes, fresh water shrimp hush puppies, as well as refined interpretations of
southern favorites including macaroni and cheese and okra succotash.
Highlights include a heritage wall with portraits of the Fillmore’s vast array of blues and jazz legends. The
décor is eclectic and familiar, achieved by co-mingling vintage-inspired fabrics with modern interpretations of classic furnishings.

Acquerelloatmosphere the moment they arrive. A recent renovation of the 17-year old restaurant,
led by designer John Wheatman, highlights the former chapel, graced with arches and a
rustic wood-beamed vaulted ceiling, with warm Mediterranean colors of gold and terracotta.
The 50 seat dining room is softly illuminated with light from polished brass lamps which
dances off an extensive collection of crystal decanters and a large floral bouquet
greeting guests as they enter.
Co-owners Giancarlo Paterlini and Suzette Gresham-Tognetti work together to provide
an unparallel Italian dining experience. Acquerello has received countless awards,
including a Michelin star in the first-ever 2007 Bay Area guide.

Albona Restaurantthe Istrian Peninsula on the Adriatic Sea, located just southeast of Trieste on the borders of Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia. After a lifetime of restaurant experience in the Bay Area, Bruno decided to open ALBONA restaurant in 1988 and he was determined to recreate the haunting flavors of his childhood. The memories of his palate are distinctively expressed with the only Istrian Menu on the West Coast. The unusual dishes and recipes of his region reflect the infusions from the Italians, Austrians, Hungarians, Slavs, Spaniards, French, Jews, Greeks, and Turks.
Excellent reviews have appeared in many publications including the list of “The Bay Area’s Top 100 Restaurants” for eight consecutive years.
For 18 years ALBONA has welcomed the clients with personal service and the staff is delighted to share their knowledge of the history and cuisine of that complex Istrian region.
