With songs like âÂÂ23â of 2009 release Heavy Hand of Whimsy, Salem band Massive Moth skitters on the edge of the progressive. While its angular and sharp guitar riffs surely enter into the court of King Crimson, Massive MothâÂ"like a true 21st-century schizoid bandâÂ"is all over the map stylistically. We are left with a handful of songs that are nearly what they should be: pop songs that arenâÂÂt really poppy, ballads that donâÂÂt take themselves seriously, and fairly light heavy rock. As a package, though, Massive Moth is a fun band that moves your feet and provides the perfect getaway from the normal tropes of modern rock.

"Massive Moth is a fun band that moves your feet and provides the perfect getaway from the normal tropes of modern rock." Clouds On Strings was formed in December 2008, when a dawn of prog awoke 4 sleeping souls from Chico. In August 2009 the fifth member, of violin flavor, was added and the band made complete. COS aspires to create a unique experience for any listener and to also rock. Hail the Sun formed with three(3) friends who have been playing together for almost a decade. The sound they formed has a seductive touch, that invites ones ears to come along. Each band member brings their own style to the party, which forms a chemistry that is much more than a compound. Influences include only life, and modern mishaps and rendezvous.
