See how villagers grow tea and coffee and live in harmony with nature. After lunch be treated to a relaxing traditional massage, then enjoy preparing and cooking your own dinner with the locals.

Leave for Mae Kampong village, a perfect destination to experience the unspoiled beauty of nature by 4WD through Chiang Mai’s picturesque countryside. A stop will be made at a local market. You will have a chance to buy ingredients for a self cooked dinner at the village in the afternoon.

You will be welcomed by local villager and can take a glimpse at their unique lifestyle while taking in beautiful scenery. The village is 1,300 meters above sea level with an average temperature of 10-18 C throughout the year.

Upon arrival you will walk through the community forest, where the villagers grow tea and coffee, to see how they preserve their forest and how they live in harmony with nature. It is a good example for the King’s self sufficient economy theory. Picnic lunch will be provided at a waterfall.

After lunch you will return to the village to relax with a 1 hour Thai traditional massage. Then walk around the village to witness fermented tea leaves process, hand made products. Then it is time to enjoy preparing and cooking your dinner with local people in their house. Return to Chiang Mai, arriving back at your hotel at about 7.30pm.
