
Jerome features many art galleries and unusual stores.
The city hosts an Art Walk [2] on the first Saturday of each month from 5 PM to 8 PM. More than 20 galleries take part.
A small town, Jerome is best seen on foot. Parking can be an issue, especially on weekends. The city runs a free shuttle during Art Walk weekends.
Don't forget to leave some time to check out the excellent art galleries and antique stores. Stop in at one of the local pottery stores like Made in Jerome and they will prepare pieces designed especially for you. There are galleries galore in Jerome including working studios in the Old Jeome High School. Plein Air artist Mark Hemleben is well-known for his Jerome masterpieces and has his galley/studio in this complex. Gallery 527 has a lovely sculpture garden and features local artists. Spirit Galley is home to 40 artists and Pura Vida has a stunning collection of art and great American crafts. The Jerome Artists Co-op is a large space(for Jerome) with many members, representing almost any medium you can imagine. Thinking of hand-made leather goods - wow - Altai Leather is filled with amazing bags, belts, hats, and lots of surprises,as well. Christy Fisher, clothing designer extra-ordinaire, has just opened a retail space filled with her creative designs.
