Nonna's Restaurant
Nonna’s Italian restaurant in Sheffield has been named one of the top ten places to eat Italian food in the UK by the Independent newspaper. Any questions? Sick of eating the same old thing in Sheffield? Why not check out Polonium Restaurant in the Heeley area of the city? Forget your usual Chinese, Indian and pub grub and try a taste of Eastern Europe and a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere in this friendly restaurant. The unassuming exterior gives way to a simply decorated interior – all white walls and wooden furniture with traditional touches but it’s the food that the regular Polonium visitor really raves about. There aren’t many places in Britain where you can enjoy traditional Polish food but Polonium is proof that there should be more.

For a journey down memory lane, we love this humble little British bistro on Sheffield's Abbeydale Road. With moss green walls, mismatched wooden chairs and home-made traditional British fare, Seasons can't help but make you feel a little nostalgic. The menu, made with fresh local produce, is filled with dishes such as cullen skink and prawn cocktail for starters; slow-cooked lamb shank with seasonal vegetables and potatoes, cod, chips and mushy peas and steak and kidney pudding for mains; and a steamed suet pudding, Bakewell tart and English cheese platter for pudding. This bright and buzzy Italian cafe and restaurant on the Ecclesall Road in Sheffield is the perfect for fun nights out with friends and family.
