Oklahoma
The award winning high spirited musical hit “Oklahoma” comes to the Belgrade Theatre this summer! This timeless masterpiece features some of the greatest songs in musical theatre history including Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’, Kansas City, People Will Say We’re in Love and The Farmer and the Cowman. Set in the territory of Oklahoma just after the turn of the century, the rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the colourful background against which Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl, play out their love story. Although the road to true love never runs smooth, love's journey is as bumpy as a surrey ride down a country road. With these two headstrong romantics holding the reins, they will succeed in making a new life together we have no doubt.
