You'll see a great variety of marine life at Norman Reef, including turtles, coral gardens and giant clams. The amphitheater-like sandy sea bed is surrounded by coral hillocks and the reef. Saxon Reef has hard corals, moray eels, lion fish, Maori wrasse and beautiful coral gardens. There's excellent shallow snorkeling, and there are swim-through gullies scattered throughout the reef. On a sunny day the white sandy floor reflects the light and turns the area into a magical, picture-perfect reef scene.

Snorkeling is one of the best ways to view the Great Barrier Reef.
