Tosca La Piccola Lirica presents its pocket size version of Puccini's opera Tosca with additional insertion from renowned literary sources. It combines parts of the opera with new technologies to create a special experience at the Teatro Flainano in Rome's historic centre. The Shortened Opera (Piccola Lirica) is a new adaptation of the opera, with a focus on its popular arias and essential tunes. Furthermore, it offers an innovative reading of the most celebrated masterpieces of lyrical repertory. The recited verses are taken from famous literature by which the librettists were inspired, and which now enriches the performance with some historical context.
The Piccola Lirica Midi Orchestra is the fusion between singers, new audio digital technology, keyboard players and a conductor. In order to create this pocket size Tosca, the 4 musicians use electronic keyboards and samplers to play the parts of usually 60 musicians. This new arrangement of Puccini's famous opera does not last more than 90 minutes and is made pleasant by its concise duration of the Teatro Flaiano.
For its contemporary adaptation, Piccola Lirica has been chosen by the newspapers
The Independent (April 15th 2007) and
The New York Times as Italian productions of melodramas in Rome, and enjoyable for the spectators of every age and class.
The Gold Ticket is for the first 4 rows and includes an aperitif before the show. The spectators with Gold Tickets are required to show up about 30 minutes before the start time.

Madama Butterfly This is an exclusive made in Italy, idea by Piccolo Lirico â Teatro Flaiano, combining both tradition and new technologies, which results in a high quality product that the audience will surely appreciate.
It has been chosen by The Independent (April 15th 2007): The top ten must-do , must-see in Italy, and the New York Times wrote for a big reportage on Italian productions of melodramas that the performance are: " charming, touching". This is also due to the fact that the representations don't last more than 90/100 minutes and are extremely pleasant thanks to the structure of the cosy theatre - found in the historic centre and very near to the Pantheon.
Due to the current experience and the interest shown by the audience: a very usable and appreciable product. Analyze, read over, decompose in order then to recompose some masterpieces, adding - instead of subtracting â other suggestions, deriving from literature and other disciplines of the show, this is the formula of the Piccola Lirica: to highlight the strong feelings of the works, the contrasts and all the elements that made it such a popular kind.
The tradition must be safeguarded all the way because this operation challenges every convention. Challenging conventions consists in representing the classical masterpieces, traditionally showed in the opera houses, in a historical theatre, having them executed by the best singers and musicians selected in competitions: artists with a future rather than a past; conceptually interpreting through dynamic scenes and light-designs, places and feelings, giving back to the public all the emotion - amplified just by the close contact with the scene.
The Gold Ticket is for the first 4 rows and includes an aperitif before the show. The spectators with Gold Tickets are required to show up about 30 minutes before the start time.

Concerts in Borromini Sacresty In a place of great prestige, in one of the squares most beautiful in Rome and in the world, Piazza Navona, these concerts are by now one roman musical tradition. "Smaller it is the number of the musicians, minor must be the distance that separates the musicians from the public" asserted Stravinskij and, the Sacresty, recently restored, besides being a precious jewels of the baroque art, has exceptional acoustics that allow to listen to the chamber music in a very involving way.
For the piano concerts there is an historical instrument, the Blüthner piano, kindly put to disposal by the Prof. Mark Sharpshooters. The Blüthner piano is an ancient instrument that in 1910 gained the prestigious "Grand Prix" in the world-wide exposure of Brussels, as demonstrate by the golden coat of arms inside it. The Blüthner particularly is adapted to music of the 1800's, and Brahms himself appreciated its qualities after playing it.
Included in the ticket price, after the concert you can enjoy a glass of prosecco with the artists.
