The main attraction is the ashram where there you can see Sathya Sai Baba, listen to devotional singing, and meditate. There are also opportunities to do service activities.

During festivals Puttaparthi is transformed and people come from all over the world to attend the celebrations. There are usually musical performances, plays, and discourses by Sathya Sai Baba during this time.

There are many sites within the local area that are worth seeing are Chaitanya Jyoti museum, SuperSpeciality Hospital, Spiritual museum, Gopuram(Ganesh gate), the samadhi shrine, wish-fullfilling tree, meditation tree, planetarium, gokulam (where the cows are), market places, and explore the countryside on the outskirts.

There is plenty of paraphenelia with Sai Baba's image on it in Puttaparthi: watches, photos, statues, badges etc.

The book shop on the ground level of Sai Towers Hotel (opposite the Ganpathi Gate) has a great selection, with fixed prices. They will also arrange postage for you, if you would like to send them home.

The Sathya Sai Ashram is a beautiful place filled with temples and beautiful places of worship. There are a lot of places to see like the Super Speciality hospital, Schools and colleges, International Stadium, Museum...

Puttaparthi is easily accessible today by train, road and airport. It boasts of a tiny but beautiful railway station opened recently. Unfortunately the airport it has isn't operational for most part of the year. Bangalore is only 3 hours away from this beautiful place.
