Victor CaféWe love this luxe restaurant and lounge bar set inside the super-chic New Hotel in Marseilles. With a space-age pop art interior, a teak-decked terrace which overlooks the swimming pool, Andy Warhol-esque artworks and killer cocktails – the Victor Café is the place Marsellais glitterati come to see and be seen. Perfect for high-powered lunches, cocktail parties and celebrations, the restaurant at the Victor Café has a fantastic fusion menu created by Head Chef Jérôme Pollo who trained with Alain Ducasse and Lionel Levy. Signature dishes include the sardines grilled with basil and tomatoes served on Italian bread and drizzled with olive oil; and the salmon stir-fried with vegetables in a coconut and curry sauce.

Les ArcenaulxLocated right in the middle of Marseille, Les Arcenaulx is set in a chic, historic building which dates back to the 15th century. Formerly an arsenal, the restaurant has three cavernous dining rooms – ideal for banquets and corporate events – decorated with natural stone walls, silk curtains and potted palms. Les Arcenaulx has a super-stylish ambience, and the menu, created by Head Chef Eric Cornilleau, features classic Provencal dishes such as Les Arcenaulx's signature cuttlefish delicately baked with onions, garlic and tomatoes; the fillet of beef served with fresh foie gras, truffle sauce and Dauphinoise potatoes; and the dark chocolate and ginger fondant with vanilla ice cream. Les Arcenaulx also has a superb boutique wine list.
