Chongqing , also spelled Chungking, is one of the most famous cities in China and capital of a provincial \"muncipality\" by the same name. Chongqing city is the launching point for boat trips down the Yangtze River through the Three Gorges Dam. Two hours west of the city in Chongqing municipality are located the spectacular Buddhist Dazu Rock Carvings.
