

Depart from Puerto Varas or Puerto Montt and drive to Pargua where the ferry goes to the 'Big Island' of Chiloe. Pass through Chacao and Caulin where there is abundant bird life and it is also possible to try a plate of local oysters (optional - not included).
Continue to Ancud, the largest town on the north of the island where you will visit the main square, and the Chile Tour Museum which has a picture display of the history of Chile and an interesting display showing the myths and legends which the island is famous for.
Continue past the Gulf of Quitalmahue to the fort of San Antonio for a visit here. Time for lunch and in the afternoon visit the Huaihuen Hill for a beautiful view of the town and its surrounds.

Head along the Pan-American Highway to the small town of Llanquihue, where there is a short visit before taking the old lakeside road to a viewpoint with a monument to the German colonists of this area. This area is known for its agriculture and cattle.
Arriving at Frutillar, admire the colonial style houses and the beautiful gardens. Every year in January and February there is a wonderful music festival here (26th Jan to 4th Feb).
Visit the lakeshore and the colonial museum which displays how the German colony here constructed their lives. Lunch or snack with free time to wander around before returning to the hotel.

From Puerto Montt, you will take the Pan-American Highway towards Puerto Varas, where you will have free time to explore this attractive lakeside town. Following the southern shore of the lake you will continue towards Villa Ensenada passing through farmland and crossing various rivers which are famous for their fly fishing.
At Villa Ensenada under the Osorno Volcano, turn off towards Petrohue and the National Park of Vicente Perez Rosales. A short easy walk leads to the falls where there are opportunities for photos of the icy cold clear waters which turn a fierce green as they cascade over the volcanic lip.
Continue onwards, crossing lava flows to reach the shores of the Esmeralda Lake or All Saint's Lake as it is also known. Time for photos and a wander around. Return to Ensenada with time for lunch (not included). Afterwards, enjoy a short walk around the Laguna Verde in an ancient forest before returning to the hotel.

Journey through the Petrohue National Park, past waterfalls and volcanoes, to Esmerelda Lake. Traveling by catamaran, where you'll have amazing views of Osorno Volcano, you'll soon reach the small village of Peulla. Here, you can enjoy a walk to the pristine waterfalls and have some lunch before heading back to Puerto Montt.

Depart from Puerto Montt heading towards Puerto Varas, also known as the 'City of Roses'. The bus stops here to collect more passengers. Continue along the southern shore of Lake Llanquihue with wonderful views of the Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes. Enter the Petrohue National Park where there is a stop to visit the Petrohue Waterfalls where the icy green waters from the Esmeralda lake flow over a lip of volcanic rock.
Continue on the All Saint's Lake, also known as Esmeralda Lake and the pier which is the departure point for the catamaran which travels to Peulla, a tiny hamlet on the other side of the lake. On the way enjoy views of the Osorno Volcano, Mount Puntiagudo and Mount Tronador. The sailing takes almost two hours.
In Peulla there is enough time for lunch and a short walk, maybe to the nearby waterfalls or along the shores of the lake before returning by catamaran and bus to Puerto Montt.
