Travel to one of the highest lakes in the world, the pristine Chungara Lake in the Lauca National Park of Chile. This park is home to a wide variety of local flora and fauna - and is also home to the native Aymara Indians. You will also visit the villages of Parinacota and Putre along the way to one of Mother Nature's most beautiful works!

Depart from the coast of Chile, passing through the Lluta Valley, the desert and the foothills of the Andes until your arrival at the altiplanico or high plateau of this mountain range where the Lauca National Park is situated. There is a wide variety of flora and fauna here which gives a beauty and nature which is venerated and respected by the native Aymará Indians of this zone.

The Chungará Lake, one of the highest in the world at 4,517 meters above sea level (14,906 feet) is a Biosphere Reserve and the backdrop is the 'Los Payachatas' Volcanoes which house the guardian Malkus or Gods according to the local Indian culture.

The tour includes visits to the Lluta Valley, Cardones Gorge, Pukará (Fort) de Copaquilla, Tambo Inca de Zapahuira and the villages of Parinacota and Putre.
