Ode to the Mountains Works by Jerry Heine, Yuriko Kitamura, Adeline Rockett, Eileen Raucher Sutton, Pam Wilman.
We have been blessed with an abundance of mountain ranges in Canada. The mention of our country abroad evokes images of grandeur - majestic snow capped mountains, glaciers and turquoise lakes. Mountains influence wind, rain, temperature, and weather patterns - in fact they create their own climate and ecosystem, providing a unique habitat for plants, animals and resources we all depend on.
These artists observe and record in their individual styles communicating their experiences and sharing the beauty of our mountains in order to focus our attention on the need for conservation, insuring our natural heritage for all creatures great and small.
