The Sound of Music Salzburg and Dinner
Enjoy this top stage show which includes your favorite songs from The Sound of Music film, for example; "The Hills are Alive", "Do- a Deer", "Edelweiss" and many wonderful traditional Austrian melodies in a unique "Trapp Family Folk Music Revival". Sing and dance along with the Sound Of Music Singers - all entertainment during the show will be in English.
At the beginning of the evening you will see a historical video featuring Maria von Trapp, which will give you first hand information about this true and remarkable story. A selection of melodies from great operettas, traditional folk songs with live piano accompaniment complete this evening and make it unforgettable.

The Salzburger Schlosskonzerte are, with over 320 concerts a year, one of the world's largest concert series. The Salzburger Schlosskonzerte are held with a wonderful atmosphere in the stunning and world famous Marble Concert Hall in Mirabell Palace, where the young Mozart himself was a regular performer.
The Salzburger Schlosskonzerte Series was founded by Prof. Siegfried Hummer back in 1954 with the pretence to offer classical music at the highest level to an audience from near and far.
The long list of famous artists like Igor Oistrach, Benjamin Schmid, Joerg Demus and Clemens Hagen and international pianists (for example Konstantin Maslyuk from Moscow, Ruvim Ostrovski and Davide Costagliola from Naples), trios like Jerusalem String Trio and Trio Crescendo, excellent duets on violin/cello and piano (like Igor Ozim and Cordelia Höfer, Joanna Kamenarska and Per Rundberg, Risa Schuchter and Daniel Rieppel, Benjamin Bergmann and Noriko Shiozaki, Rosie and Thomas Riebl, Heidi Litschauer and Tünde Kurucz, Wonji Kim and Wonmin Kim, Sergej Malov and Astrid Steinschaden, Benjamin Schmid and Ariane Haering), and world famous ensembles like Roczek Ensemble, Ensemble CIS, Ensemble Crescendo, ensemble Con Spirito, Twins Quartet from Moscow, Bartok Quartet from Budapest, Voces Quartet from Romania and Kocian Quartet and members of the Vienna and Berlin Philharmonic Orchestras are only some of the artists playing the most beautiful pieces by Mozart and his contemporaries in the Marble Hall in Mirabell Palace.

Enjoy the most popular compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart by candlelight in the stylish ambiance of the famous Stiftskeller St. Peter Baroque Salon. Music is performed by Salzburg Artists in historic costumes and a three-course dinner is served, prepared as it was in the time of Mozart. The musical program is performed between the courses.
The ensemble "Amadeus Consort Salzburg", consisting of two singers and five musicians, concentrates particularly on the works of Salzburg's "genius loci", or 'local genius', Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The three part concert program comprises popular compositions from "The Magic Flute", "Don Giovanni" and "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik". With their first CD "Zu Gast bei Mozart" ("A guest of Mozart") 30,000 copies were produced and enjoyed. The ensemble regularly gives performances abroad and participates in numerous TV-productions.
The three-course Mozart-Dinner is prepared according to traditional recipes from the 17th and 18th century and is served during the pauses in the concerts.
