Most visitors will arrive by road from Taloqan.

The city is fairly small. The local roads, like others in Afghanistan are poor. Local taxis are available.

The usual Afghan fare - kebab or lamb with rice are here. Some river fish may also be on the menu. Pastries, influenced by the proximity to Tajikistan are available.
